Founding Families
Every museum begins with a small group of people who believe in the vision before the doors ever open.
The Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre (SWDC) is currently in the development stage. Our goal is to create an educational space where visitors of all ages can explore the science, beauty, and importance of water through interactive exhibits, live microscopy, educational displays, and creative programs.
The families who support this project at the earliest stage will become part of its story.
The Founding Families Program recognizes individuals and families who choose to support the creation of the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre before the museum officially opens to the public. Their support helps turn the idea into reality and lays the foundation for a place of learning and discovery for the community.
What It Means to Be a Founding Family
Founding Families will be recognized as the earliest supporters who helped make the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre possible. As the museum develops and opens to the public, recognition may include:
• Permanent acknowledgement on the Founding Families Wall inside the museum
• Recognition on the SWDC website as early supporters
• Invitations to future opening events and special previews
• Priority access to selected educational programs or special events in the future
• A lasting connection to the story of the museum’s creation
These recognitions will be implemented as the project progresses and the museum opens its doors.

Founding Family Contributions
Families who wish to support the creation of the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre may participate in the Founding Families Program through one of the following contribution levels.
Founding Family
$1,000 CAD
Recognition as a Founding Family of the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre, with acknowledgement as one of the early supporters who helped bring the project to life.
Pioneer Family ⭐
$5,000 CAD
Recognition as a Pioneer Family, reflecting a significant early contribution to the development of the museum and its educational exhibits.
Legacy Family
$10,000 CAD or more
Recognition as a Legacy Family, representing exceptional early support for the creation of the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre and its long-term mission.
All Founding, Pioneer, and Legacy Families will be recognized as early supporters who helped establish the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre.
Recognition may include:
• Permanent acknowledgement on the Founding Families Wall inside the museum
• Recognition on the SWDC website
• Invitations to future opening events and previews
• Updates on major milestones during the museum’s development
• A lasting connection to the story of the museum’s creation
Additional recognition opportunities may be offered to Pioneer and Legacy Families as the project evolves.
The Founders Wall
Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre
The Founders Wall will be permanently installed in the future home of the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre.

The Founders Wall will honour the families and supporters whose early contributions helped bring the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre to life.
Long before the first visitors walk through the doors, before the exhibits are explored and the microscopes reveal the hidden life within water, there are people who choose to support the vision from the very beginning.
The Founders Wall will permanently recognize those individuals and families.
Their names will become part of the story of how the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre was created.
A Permanent Place in the Story
The Founders Wall will be installed in the future permanent home of the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre and will serve as a lasting acknowledgement of the early supporters who helped establish the museum.
Visitors, students, and families will see the names of the founding supporters who helped make this educational space possible.
For many years to come, the wall will stand as a reminder that the creation of the museum began with a community of people who believed in learning, curiosity, and discovery.
Limited Founders Recognition
To recognize the earliest supporters of the museum, a limited number of places will be reserved on the Founders Wall.
Legacy Families - 10 places available
Legacy Families will be recognized as exceptional early supporters who played a significant role in helping establish the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre.
Pioneer Families - 30 places available
Pioneer Families will be recognized for their meaningful contribution to the early development of the museum and its educational exhibits.
Founding Families - 100 places available
Founding Families will be recognized as the first supporters who helped transform the idea of the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre into a reality.
Recognition
Supporters included on the Founders Wall will receive recognition as early contributors to the creation of the Saskatoon Water Discovery Centre.
Recognition may include:
• Permanent acknowledgement on the Founders Wall inside the museum

• Invitations to future opening events and previews
